This film produced by the Hungarian Civil rights Union highlights the plight of people forced into drug detention centres. These centres are home to 100,000's  of people throughout the south-east asian countries of Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos and China. Those in the compulsory "treatment" centres have no legal representation and suffer unimaginable human rights abuses.

As the battle against HIV/AIDS rages on, the levels of infection have dramatically increased throughout parts of Asia and Eastern Europe. This documentray shown on Al-Jazeera explores the rise in HIV/AIDS infections along the major heroin trafficking routes throughout Asia and highlights the terrible cost society is paying where this epidemic is going unchallenged.

The creation of ANPUD will benefit the Asian harm reduction community

The 16th and 17th of October may of marked a turning point in the harm reduction effort in Asia. A group 25 drug users from nine different countries met in Bangkok to consolidate the Asian Network of People who Use Drugs (ANPUD) constitution and elect a steering committee.

Pre-congress meeting of people who use drugs (PUD) forum, ICAAP IX Rido Triawan The pre-congress meeting of people who use drugs (PUD) forum on ICAAP IX with a theme ‘reform: towards human rights based drug policy’ was held on August 8th 2009 in Sanur, Bali. More than 120 participants from at least 11 countries in Asia Pacific attended this meeting. They were from Indonesia, Thailand, India, Nepal, Australia, Myanmar, Philippine, Malaysia, Cambodia, China, and Japan.

People affected with Hepatitus C are dying because they can't afford treatment

The 9th International Conference on AIDS in Asia and the Pacific (ICAAP) that took place on the 9th – 13th of August this year was interrupted by a small group of campaigners demanding access to drugs that treat HIV patients who also have been affected by Hepatitis C.
