Cartel Corner
A space for those in the drug industry to discuss the threat to our livelihoods that drug policy reform represents.
We are in danger of oil and gas overtaking us if we don’t do something about the situation soon.
Drug cartels show McDonalds the way
Law enforcement agencies provide an excellent service to the drug supply industry by keeping our organisations lean, cutting away the dead wood. It so rare that they touch any of the Captains of our industry, they simply keep an eye on the foot soldiers and the middle managers, which is great for us.
What to do when politicians step out of line
There have been some attacks on Social Democratic Party (PSD) candidates, a party proposing drug decriminalisation in Mexico. It was heartening to hear that a hard line has been taken with some of the politicians who have been making dangerous signals about drug law reform in Mexico. We wouldn’t want any of those liberal ideas creeping over the border to our biggest market in the US.
Calvina Fay: A real friend to drug dealers around the world
I would like us all to give a big round of thanks to Professor Calvina Fay, the lovely lady pictured above. In the words of Drug Free America (sic) she "conducts political activities to combat drug legalization efforts."
She wins the top prize for helping keep all of us traffickers, smugglers and dealers in business.
We shouldn’t forget the impact that this has on related business like the sex industry or the private prison system in the USA, I have got some shares in there as a little nest egg for my children’s future and I suggest you do the same.
Friends and enemies
Well who can help us? Many of you won’t be interested in this shit but believe me you will wish you had been when you are reduced to pimping or some other half arsed business. There won’t be much cash to splash when the girls have got easy access to treatment or gear on prescription, let me tell you. So it is time you all took an interest.
What is Cartel Corner all about?
The drug dealing – narcotics trafficking industry has entered a risky phase. It would be so easy to be complacent, profits are up and politicians in the main continue to support the industry through keeping the drugs illegal.
However there are some extremely dangerous noises coming from a number of politicians, especially in the US. As a major European based distributor of street drugs, I have watched in horror as increasingly liberal laws have weakened the market.
Why worry about marijuana legalisation?
We do make a lot of money out of marijuana despite the obvious downsides of the business:
Mr Costa might be a good soldier but don’t trust him
I know many of you are big fans of Antonio Maria Costa of the UNODC, after all he has done some great work on the consequences of drug prohibition. He is a good soldier however who does what his bosses tell him to do. As I am in the habit of warning his bosses might change his orders.
After all he is a consummate bureaucrat and could reinvent the UNODC as the regulators of a legal trade.
And then the good soldier would put us all out of business!
Always tell the cops the heroin comes from Afghanistan
The ‘war on terror’ is like the ‘war on drugs’ it helps keep us in business. If the public think all the heroin comes from Afghanistan then it will keep the eyes of elsewhere and ensure that the Afghan’s have to keep growing opium so they don’t starve and the last thing I want to happen is for the Taliban to be back in power and stop the supply again.
