Colombian coca farmers are living targets in the war on drugs
The video shows a detailed account of the situation of Coca-growers in Llorente, Narino Province (Colombia) in November 2006.
Rosalba Acosta is the protagonist. Her words describe how her life has been affected by the war on coca, how her sustenance derives from cultivating it and how both the war and coca-growing have caused a serious problem of internal displacement in Colombia. She describes the consequences of the war on her family (both her father and husband were killed), her daily routine and that of her region where the war and the efforts against it are on-going.
