Young dealers

An international study has showed the similarities between youngsters and drug trafficking in three countries. One of the most important conclusions is that young dealers clearly resemble their seniors when it comes to specialisation and differentiation when selling drugs.

A drug dealer tried to hide his identity altering his fingerprints

An American drug dealer has been condemned to life imprisonment for international drug trafficking and to 240 months for money laundering related to his activities.

William Wallace Keegan, 62 years old, of Palm Harbor, Florida, was sentenced for being involved in international drug trafficking for more than 30 years. The man escaped capture for so long because he had all 10 of his fingers surgically altered in order to hide his true identity.

“The Yard Blues” is a documentary on prostitution, crack, motherhood and survival. The stories gathered in this reportage describe one specific link between gender, sex and drugs. Women, who throughout their lives develop a drug addiction and a homeless lifestyle, turn to prostitution to pay for their habit. At times they can’t even justify this choice to themselves.

Fighting crime by treating drug addiction, interview with Mike Trace

The United Kingdom has one of the highest levels of drug use in the European Union, and this has largely remained unchanged for close to 40 years, with cannabis being the most prevalent drug used in the country. During the 70s and 80s the nation faced an acute heroin addiction problem, and with it a wave of petty crimes by drug users looking for cash to pay for their addiction.
