Submitted by Little Henry Lee on Tue, 17/02/2009 - 15:11
US Doctor Phil Johnson discusses the transmission of HIV and other blood-borne viruses through shared needles and syringes.
The provision of needle-exchange services has been shown to reduce the transmission of HIV/AIDS. It is one of the most well-known of the techniques known as "harm reduction", and it is important that governments make such services available to their citizens to help prevent the spread of HIV.
