Medical Marijuana State VS Federal Law

Medical marijuana is legal in 16 states in America with some revolving round the user growing his or her own crop whilst others allow marijuana dispensaries. These dispensaries are having a hard time due to a conflict between federal law and state law creating a grey area. This has led to banks which have accounts nationwide being unsure and unwilling to allow marijuana dispensaries to even have a checking account.

Dependency. A subjective word with ambiguity in tow.

Dependency. A subjective word with ambiguity in tow. There are two sides to all words, most of all, this one.

I’ll spare you the obligatory dictionary definitions and indulge in a brief summary of me.  30 years is hard to be concise with, so bare with me.

My name is Jason, I am from the UK.  Since the age of 8 I have been ill, I have had all tests known to man and even some reserved for pets; I of course jest but when you’re the business end of a probe, fleeting thoughts do go through your mind like a freight train without a destination.

Raising a kid with autism can be a real challenge at times and legal drugs frequently seem to have little or no effect on the kids' behaviour. That is why some parents have decided to treat their children's condition with a drug that is destined to spark controversies: medical marijuana.

As the mum in the short news segment above reveals, medical marijuana baked in brownies helped her son at a crucial moment in his life, as he was fighting severe weight problems and violent outbursts, a symptom that is relatively common for people with autism.

Sarah Martin has Multiple Sclerosis and, while the British government sells British manufactured cannabis medicines to other countries, it continues to deny it to it's own patients. Countries such as Germany and Denmark purchase Sativex, made by GW Pharmaceuticals, as pain and spasm relieving medicine. Sativex is a cannabis tincture, effectively a new strain of SKUNK in a bottle. The tax payer should not be asked to support the growth of a benign plant and manufacture of a medicine that can be grown for free.

Man arrested after disrupting flight had eaten hash brownies

A California man who had to be restrained during a US Airways flight dropped his pants and attempted to punch a female flight attendant, blames medical marijuana for the disruption.

The Ethnology of British Weed

Rashid smokes bad weed. For 35 years he’s been on this earth and he still permits himself to smoke such rubbish. Ironically, he knows how to tell the difference better than anyone.

Marijuana Restaurant opens in Denver

After the opening of the 'Cannabis Cafe' in Portland, Oregon, the new creative approach to US medical marijuana dispensaries comes from Denver:

'-Can I get my prescription?

-Sure, would you like the gourmet lasagna or are you craving some chocolate mousse?'

The 'Ganja Gourmet', is a medical marijuana dispensary in the heart of Denver's medical marijuana district and it is marketing itself as a gourmet restaurant.

Government endorsed misinformation is a failed drug policy

One of the most damaging aspects of the war on drugs is the spread of government endorsed misinformation about drugs.

The debate about medical marijuana is ongoing in the United States. Currently 13 states have legalized medicinal use of marijuana while federal law still makes no distinction between medical and recreational use of the plant.

California sees the potential of liberalising drug legislation

The liberalisation of cannabis consumption for medical purposes in California is an interesting case. California pioneered bans on smoking tobacco and now has some of the most liberal marijuana laws in the world.
