Fredrik Federley: Nice People Take Drugs
This card is one of a deck produced by Release to highlight politicians’ hypocrisy towards drug use.
In 2007, Swedish Centre Party MP and former pop group member Fredrick Federley admitted to having used both cannabis and cocaine in the past. Apparently, these were isolated incidents at "two different parties two years ago."
What this means, is that he was still Chairman of the Centre Party Youth at the time of his drug use. Now, Swedish narcotics law is restrictive and strictly enforced. Federley serves a government that condemns his actions and strives for a drug-free society. Sweden practices a zero-tolerance drug policy, meaning no distinction is made between cannabis and heroin. On his blog, however, he discusses the legalisation of soft drugs.
