Terry Nelson On Drug Policy Reform

Retired Marine Border Officer Terry Nelson is interviewed by CNN regarding his views on drug policy reform. A member of LEAP (Law Enforcement Against Prohibition), Nelson claims that all drugs need to regulated and controlled, but to do that they must first be legalized. The type of regulation he has in mind would closely resemble that of cigarettes or alcohol.

According to Nelson, close to a million teenagers are out on the streets selling illegal drugs to other teenagers. Many more children have one or more family members in prison on drug related charges. Nelson claims that by legalising and regulating drugs these families could be spared this difficulty.
