Ariel Foster

Ariel Foster has a degree in theology and is an activist for the human rights of Indigenous Peoples and people who use drugs. He has 15 years of experience supporting Indigenous communities in Costa Rica on issues related to the protection of their social, cultural, and environmental rights. Since 2021, he has been working with ACEID in Risk and Harm Reduction, and since 2024, he has been in charge of social risk management at the Ditsö Association of Popular Initiatives, where he reports, informs, and trains on climate justice and natural disaster management and prevention in Indigenous and rural communities. He is also a founding member of the Costa Rican Harm Reduction Association (ACORED), where he serves as a community manager.
